Guinevere is the daughter of King Leodegrance. Guinevere married King Arthur of Camelot. The marriage was either forced, true love, or because Arthur helped her father with a deed so she was given to him as a wife. As a present to the newly weds, Guinevere’s father gave them the round table. Guinevere is always portrayed as beautiful in every story. In every legend or story about her, Guinevere is captured and taken away. In some myths of Queen Guinevere, she isn’t faithful to King Arthur because of a love interest with Sir Lancelot. But in other stories she isn’t in love with Sir Lancelot, she loves him like family because he saved her. A reason Guinevere would love Lancelot like family is that she was almost killed by King Arthur because of her half sister, False Guinevere, who looked exactly like her. So Arthur was tricked into thinking False Guinevere was his wife and sentenced Guinevere to death. Sir Lancelot saved her from being hanged and then convinced Arthur that his “wife” wasn’t really Guinevere.
Guinevere was born in the year A.D. 490. She was raised in the house of Cador, Earl of Cornwall. Guinevere either came from a noble Roman family on her mother’s side, King Ogrfan Gawr (the Giant) of Castell y Cnw
clas (Knucklas Castle), the daughter of King Garlin of Galore, the daughter of a Roman noble,
Geoffrey of Monmouth, or King Leodagon of Camelide (Camelerd). Guinevere’s name is different in different stories. Some of her names are; Guinevere, Guenevere, Guanhumara, Guenhuuara, Guenievre, Guenhumare, Ginevra, Gwenhwyfar, and Jenefer. The names, parents, and origins of Guinevere will differ depending on which legend you read and where the story came from. The name Jenefer is the name from Cornish traditions. Gwenhwyfar is from German traditions. Guinevere probably originates from Roman or Welsh heritage. Welsh people usually come from Wales and the Romans came from Italy.

Adultery

Guinevere and Lancelot’s love made them commit adultery. Arthur found out about this because of a cell of Morgan La Fay which Lancelot drew pictures of his life in. Morgan La Fey tried to expose Sir Lancelot and Guinevere but failed. Some of the knights of the Round Table found out and told Arthur. Guinevere also had children with some of her capturers. She gave Mordred two children.

Capturers

Mordred is a common bad guy in Arthurian legend. He captures Guinevere when Arthur goes off to battle. Because of him wanting to marry Guinevere she hides in the London Tower. Meleagant is also a capture who didnt like Arthur so he took Guinevere. When King Melwas had taken Guinevere, Arthur didnt try to get her back, instead Sir Lancelot did. Many men had taken Guinevere because of her beauty, like Sir Meliagrance did because he saw that Sir Lancelot wasnt there and that he couldnt be stopped by him .

False Guinevere

False Guinevere is Guinevere's sister from another mother. Her father had this child with one of his servants. The only difference between the two girls, who looked exactly alike, was a birthmark on False Guinevere's back. False Guinevere was jealous of Guinevere and gave Arthur a potion to make him fall in love with her. Arthur thought she was his wife because of it and sent the real guinevere to be hung. Sir Lancelot saves Guinevere from being hung and takes her to safety. He later then convinces Arthur that his wife isnt whom she seems. Later on False Guinevere falls ill and dies.
